Spiritual Growth @ Pinelake
Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. It is one that leads us to progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Christ. Pinelake offers a variety of opportunities to help you take the next step on the journey.
Our primary structure for spiritual growth and care at Pinelake is small groups. Groups take a variety of forms and typically meet off-campus in homes around the metro Jackson area throughout the week.
GROWTH through Bible Study Our primary structure for adult discipleship and care is small groups. Groups take a variety of forms and typically meet off-campus in homes around the metro Jackson area throughout the week. The majority of our groups have chosen to meet on Sunday evenings. Types of small groups include:
Discussion Groups – Focus on application of the current sermon series.
Study Groups – Utilize non-sermon related Bible study curriculum
(ex. Men’s Stuff Bible Study, Precept, Beth Moore, etc.).
Recovery Groups – Focus on overcoming hurts, habits and hang-ups.
Life Groups – Utilize a daily Bible reading plan and a journaling discipline.
Equipping Classes/Groups – Designed to help you build a solid foundation for spiritual growth (short-term).
The purpose of Equipping Classes is to help individuals to develop a foundation of biblical literacy along with the skills and disciplines necessary to sustain personal spiritual growth. These short-term classes will last from four to 12 weeks. Some of these classes require the purchase of a textbook to go along with the study. When necessary, these books are sold in Pinelake’s bookstore — The Source.
Equipping Classes are offered on Sunday mornings, Tuesday mornings and Tuesday evenings. There are typically three cycles of classes every year at Pinelake: January – March, April – June and August – October. A class listing can be found online on this webpage or at the Small Group kiosk before each cycle begins. Check back for updates.

As we pattern our lives after Him and use our gifts and abilities to serve others, we experience a deepening relationship with Christ. Representatives at the iServe kiosk can assist with information on specific Sunday morning service opportunities.
